The Corolla Wild horse Fund is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit. We do not receive any state or federal funding. We raise over 80% of our budget ourselves through donations, special events, memberships, sponsorships, grants, and mission-related merchandise sales. Every contribution is appreciated and recognized regardless of the amount. Every dollar donated helps to further our mission to protect and conserve the Colonial Spanish Mustangs living on the Northern Outer Banks. Contributions are tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.
Donate Property in the 4-Wheel Drive Area
The Corolla Wild Horse Fund currently has 40 acres in a permanent conservation easement, donated by Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bender. If we are to provide a safe haven for the future, much more land is needed to sustain the herd. The fair market value of land donated to a nonprofit is typically tax deductible for the donor. Help us maintain important habitat for the horses and all wildlife through a gift of property or make a tax deductible contribution to the Freedom Fund (a restricted fund for the purchase of land for the horses).
