Letter Writing Campaign Winners!

Why should the Colonial Spanish Mustang be
designated as the NC state horse?

That was the subject of a state mandated writing assignment for all 4th grade students in Currituck County...but any student could participate. Student letters, directed to state legislators, included local, state, and national history and science as reasons why the state of North Carolina should have a state horse...and why it should be the Colonial Spanish Mustang.
