CWHF DOES NOT RECEIVE FEDERAL OR STATE FUNDING

85% of our funds come from a caring general public through:

  • Instant Donations

  • Annual Memberships

  • Horse Sponsorships

  • Special Events

  • Mission-Related Merchandise

  • Grants

MANY WAYS TO GIVE

Without federal funding, The Corolla Wild Horse Fund, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit, raises approximately 85% of its budget through donations, special events, memberships, sponsorships, grants, and mission-related merchandise sales. Every dollar donated helps further our mission to protect and conserve the Colonial Spanish Mustangs living on the Northern Outer Banks. Contributions are tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.

For the past 30 years, the CWHF has worked tirelessly to protect, conserve and responsibly manage the herd of wild Colonial Spanish Mustangs roaming freely on the northernmost Currituck Outer Banks. Your tax-deductible donation will help us continue.

It's official! We are relocating our museum and gift shop, along with our offices, to the Old Village in Corolla. We are very excited about this move. We will once again have close proximity to the horses, better visibility for the public, and the ability to be part of the community that we value. Our plan is to close at our present location on November 3 and be ready to open at our new facility the week of Thanksgiving. Look for us at 1130E Corolla Village Road between Island Bookstore and the Corolla Chapel. Please know that our online gift store will continue to be open and we will fulfill your orders while we complete this move. Thank you for your support! Contact us
